Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to the website. What a partnership were creating with Leigh Genesis FC and our organisation Just B U cic.
In October 2017 three young men from our organisation wanted to play football. With help from our support worker Josh a Leigh Genesis coach they started to have a kick about on a local field. After meeting with Rob and the FA it was decided we would trial disability football with the emphasis being the team would be an inclusive part of the club LGFC. What have we done since last year? The team trained at Howe Bridge, trained at Leigh Genesis and we trained on the 07th September 2018 at the county ground, Leyland FC.
The lads have become a team, supporting and encouraging each other, become more confident and want to play for the shirt. I’m very grateful of the opportunity to partner a football club, have trained coaches and the expertise of Leigh Genesis.
