F.T U14 Plasma 9-3 Flixton U14
U14 Plasma came up against Flixton U14 at Lowton on Saturday, with the two sides only meeting a few weeks ago. It was the turnaround fixture this time around and U14 plasma were looking for a result having been beaten by Flixton in the away fixture! U14 plasma having some new recent additions were heading into the game quite determined, positive and with something to prove.
A new combination of Harrison Swann and Jack Dumencic up front saw us into an early lead at 3-0 which boosted the boys enough to communicate and work hard ending the first half at 7-1 with 4 from Jack (including a penalty) and 3 from Harrison.
A few changes and the second half was much tougher on what was a hot day with fatigue and thirst creeping in. The ref allowing time for both teams to have water breaks definitely helped.
Flixton managed to grab 2 more in the second half and a quick shift of Joe Duffy up front gave him a goal and almost one for our defender Clayton just before the end after he asked for a chance to play a different position.
Overall boys very proud and happy putting ourselves back in 4th place in the league. (The place our opposition had held until Saturday)
